Bloggy Bloggers

Hello all,

As we are starting a new blog today, thought it would be appropriate to discuss blogging.

There are a few blogs about that are great resources for learning about sexual health.

One that popped up on Twitter today has been written by a young person who lives in Bristol:
http://educationforchoice.blogspot.com/2010/12/guest-blog-young-persons-take-on-sex.html

Let us know if your experiences and opinions are similar.  What's your take on the American approach of abstinence only education in some states?  How was your sex ed in school?

One of our favourites in the office is http://bishtraining.com/index.php/blog which is a great resource for discussion topics for parents, carers, health care professionals and all kinds of other "educators"; their sister site, http://bishuk.com/posts/ is a blogging spot for information for young people and takes a very humorous approach to sex ed.

We also took a look at a blog from http://www.scarleteen.com/ which is a site from the US that takes a "real world" approach to sexual education.

I must, at this point, say that the content on the above mentioned sites does not belong to No Risks  (or Suffolk Integrated Healthcare), and nor do any of the opinions on these above mentioned sites (which is not to say that we don't share some of these opinions), but they are interesting places to go to for discussion starters!

Tell us if you know of any interesting blogs, people on Twitter etc. that talk about sexual health or any health issues.  We woudl love to read them!

Take care...
